A Master School for Transformative Presence

The Unity Academy is a community of transformation and a master practitioner school for Unity-informed integral practice—the practice of conscious leadership, consulting, and coaching that moves beyond the Creative level into the Integral. It stands at the confluence of three great rivers of human wisdom: the non-dual insights of the great spiritual masters, the revolutionary discoveries of modern physics, and the depth explorations of psychology. Together, these streams form a new paradigm and lineage of practice for our time.

A Community of Transformation

The Unity Academy is not simply a curriculum; it is a community of transformation. Within this community, participants learn to hold a powerful, safe, and generative container that supports vulnerability, breakthroughs, and accelerated development.

Transformation is not incremental improvement. It is a fundamental change of structure and state in a person, group, or system. Once transformed, nothing is ever the same. Individuals and organizations become more whole, coherent, alive, free, and effective.

Participants can expect to be exquisitely supported—by faculty and by community—while engaging deeply, fiercely, and compassionately with themselves. They will encounter their deepest longings, their most persistent fears, and their hidden shadows.

This is the real work of transformation. It is not for the faint of heart. But for those who commit, the result is profound, permanent change. And you will never be the same.

Participants are encouraged to enroll in the full academy (all four workshops) from the start. You can begin with just the first workshop to get a feel for the experience before committing to the entire program. It is less expensive to enroll in the full academy.

Unity-Informed Integral: Beyond Technique

In any situation, transformation often has less to do with what you do, the methodology you use, or even the words you speak. It has far more to do with the state of being from which you act and speak.

Who you are in what you do matters more than what you do. The truth and impact of your words and actions arise directly from the state you embody. What truly heals and transforms is not technique—valuable though it may be—but the undefended presence you bring to the moment.

This truth is subtle and easily dismissed as impractical, yet it is profoundly powerful. I (Bob Anderson) have been exploring this for years, and the deeper I go, the more “magic” unfolds in coaching sessions, workshops, and critical meetings.

Recently, during a workshop demonstration, I witnessed a participant completely transform one of the core self-limiting structures of his life. The entire process unfolded in less than 20 minutes. I employed a simple method to get things started, but then the magic happened. I simply witnessed in full presence as the process unfolded. He later shared that his whole life would change as a result.

The more light I embody—the more undefended, wholehearted, and radiantly present I become—the more transformation naturally occurs. These moments are some of the most treasured of my life, because I realize I am not “doing” anything. Life is living me. My role is simply to offer less resistance. As this unfolds, the depth and impact of my work expand exponentially.

This is the path of mastery—one often overlooked and dismissed as impractical, yet available to coaches, consultants, and leaders as they move from a Creative level of practice into an Integral one. More specifically, Unity-Informed Integral Practice.

A Universe of Energy and Light

The universe (one-verse) is not what it appears to be—it is a resonating informational field, in-forming form, what we call matter. And that field, as Niels Bohr states, presumes consciousness— that consciousness is woven into the fabric of reality itself. David Bohm described the implicate order—a unified field of meaning and intelligence that gives rise to the manifest world. Einstein noted that there is no matter, only energy vibrating at frequencies lowered enough to be perceptible to our senses.

In the new physics, your body is not solid matter—it is a field. It is an informational pattern of energy, cohered from higher octaves of the Unified Field. Higher frequencies inform and organize lower frequencies, giving rise to the forms we recognize as our bodies. Within this field, nothing is separate. It is a unified whole. We are not apart from it, but expressions of it—extensions of the same conscious field that gives rise to all things. This field is not partial; it is whole and complete. It is holographic: the whole, all information, is present in every part. Therefore, we are not separate from one another. The non-dual mystical and indigenous traditions affirm this: we are not merely physical bodies but patterns of light and energy emerging from and as one consciousness. The whole is present in every one of us. We are inseparably connected, woven into the fabric of unity.

Leaders Bring the Weather

One of our clients once said: “Leaders bring the weather.”

When you enter a room, you induct a field. You cannot not resonate. The question is: at what level of presence do you resonate?

As leaders, coaches, consultants and creators, we can learn to access this field for information, inspiration, innovation, and healing. This capacity—conscious energy mastery—unlocks profound intuitive insight into our purpose, vision, and strategy (both individual and collective). Additionally, the more access we have, the more our presence itself becomes transformative—radiating the reconciling light and unconditional love that creates, heals, integrates, and unifies rather than divides and polarizes.

Is your presence the magic elixir that allows transformation to happen? Can you amplify the transformative power of your presence? These questions are at the heart of what the Unity Academy is about.

Embracing Light and Shadow

You can learn to conduct more energy, more light, through the field of your body, becoming radiant.

This energy is love. As you radiate more light, your presence becomes more unconditionally loving—and this is what transforms.

What we call wounds or shadows are simply contracted light—aspects of our essence split off from unity, trapped in painful duality. These dualities are the source of all our suffering. These wounds are not in the way; they are the way. The pain of them literally points the way to trapped essence. By reclaiming what was lost in the unconscious, we embody more of our light.

As we open to greater flows of light and grace, shadow elements naturally surface to be radically included, unconditionally embraced, and reconciled back into unity. This integration makes us more radiant, generative, undefended, loving, and ultimately, more transformative.

Intuition and Creation

The deeper our presence, the more we access intuition—a powerful capacity that reveals purpose, direction, and vision. Intuition provides breakthrough insight, guides creative endeavors, and helps us sense subtle truths about our clients, allowing us to respond with words, actions, a resonance and loving radiance that transform.

At higher frequencies, we can call forth from the Unified Field our desired future. Declaring for the future in high and embodied states of awareness harnesses the power of the generative quantum field. Our creative powers of manifestation amplify as we surrender to being lived by life itself.

A Force for Unity and Justice

As we embrace both light and shadow unconditionally, we become reconciling presences in the world:

  • We no longer project our shadows onto others. We create no enemies.
  • We cease unconsciously building systems that carry shadow—racism, inequality, environmental destruction.
  • We become active forces for justice, peace, and the renaissance so urgently needed in this time of disruption and collapse.

When groups of leaders convene in dialogue in expanded states of unity—collectively raising their frequency, listening deeply, and speaking from the unified field—they generate a shared presence that is transformative. Together, they can:

  • Navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.
  • Inspire trust and alignment across differences.
  • Call forth breakthrough insights and innovative solutions.
  • Expand their collective capacity to imagine, catalyze, and accelerate a just, sustainable, and thriving future—one that serves not only their organizations, but all people and all life on this planet.

Unity Academy Framework: A New Paradigm of Leadership

The Unity Academy explicates the deeper foundations of the Leadership Circle’s Universal Model of Leadership and extends them into real-world application and service. It is guided by a paradigm of Reality now emerging—one that integrates scientific insight, energetic practice, and spiritual wisdom.

This framework equips participants with a clear-eyed understanding of Reality’s essential structure. Without this foundation, mastery is not possible. With it, development into Unity-Informed Integral capability accelerates.

The framework is rigorous, pluralistic, and integrative. Participants will experience it as scientific, energetic, and spiritual—but not religious. The Academy moves fluidly between science and spirituality, showing how these distinct traditions are pointing to the same underlying Reality through different lenses. It honors many forms of practice, privileging none, while holding to a coherent, integrated understanding of the nature of Reality.

What We'll Do

The Academy offers a multifaceted set of practices, each reinforcing and amplifying the others. Participants will learn to:

  • Work with the deeper underpinnings of the Leadership Circle Model and Profile, integrating them with the STAGES assessment to deepen client engagements.

Faculty

Bob Anderson

Bob Anderson is co-founder of Leadership Circle and its chief knowledge officer. Bob has been a pacesetter in the field of leadership development for more than 30 years. He created The Leadership Circle Profile, a 360-degree assessment used by organizations worldwide, to measure the effectiveness of their leaders (individually and collectively), chart a pathway for their development, and assess their progress as they develop. He is the co-author of Scaling Leadership and Mastering Leadership.

Terri O'Fallon

Terri O’Fallon is a founder of STAGES International, the creator of the STAGES Matrix and assessments, and a leader on the frontier of transformational change in organizations and individuals. She has been teaching for more than 50 years and researching for more than 40 years. Terri has a Ph.D. in integral studies with a concentration in learning and change in human systems, and master’s degrees in spiritual direction and special education. These embodied experiences inform her primary theory, research, and teaching theme: that growing up is waking up throughout the lifespan.

Joel Yanowitz

Joel Yanowitz holds a fourth-degree black belt in Aikido. He has over 35 years’ experience as a coach and advisor. His approach integrates inner and outer development. Joel has helped countless business leaders drive growth, improve innovation, and build thriving cultures. Joel has hands-on experience launching and running companies. He was the co-founder and managing director of Innovation Associates, the firm that pioneered the field of Organizational Learning and brought the prestigious work of Peter Senge’s book The Fifth Discipline, to organizations worldwide.

Donna Evans Strauss

Donna Evans Strauss currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. She is also the Dean of Year Two Studies in North America and Dean of Year One Studies in Japan. Donna has taught and mentored others in transformational work internationally for over 35 years. Donna has a gift for helping people open their subtle high-sense perception and working within the individual and collective human energy field to effect transformation.

Bill Adams

Bill Adams is the co-founder and CEO of Leadership Circle. He is extensively sought out as a trusted advisor to CEO’s, top executives, and teams around the world to partner with them to unlock breakthrough performance, develop deep leadership capability and produce systemic, transformational business results. His clients range from Fortune 500 corporations to start-ups across multiple industries. Bill has co-authored many books in the leadership and system transformation space. Bill holds a master’s degree in interpersonal and organizational communication from the University of Montana.

Chris Thorsen

Chris Thorsen has advised senior leaders for over 50 years. He is a pioneer in the application of Aikido, The Art of Peace, and Bohm’s Dialogue to the embodiment of leadership mastery, team synergy, and organizational strategy. Chris has developed a practice for helping executive teams intentionally generate and sense the field of creative breakthrough innovation. In so doing, he’s helped technology companies lead their industries and international policy institutes establish their global presence.

Curriculum Overview

The Unity Academy is a yearlong sequential series of residential workshops supported by virtual sessions. It is a community of transformation. As the community deepens, it provides a powerful and safe container for the vulnerability of the work. It also becomes more and more capable of holding a field that quickens and catalyzes breakthroughs. This is why we encourage you to enroll in the entire yearlong experience. Foundations

This four-day immersion lays the groundwork for the Academy. Participants complete and debrief the Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) and the STAGES assessment, clarifying their developmental agenda. The workshop integrates Terri O’Fallon’s STAGES framework, the LCP, and the Unity-informed Integral model. Through experiential practices, participants explore later-stage development, apply the STAGES model, and engage six core leadership practices. This work resonates with Maslow’s self-transcendence, Jung’s individuation, and the mystics’ practices of embodying light.

The Energetics of Embodied Presence and Dialogue

This five-day workshop integrates energetic healing, Aikido, wisdom traditions, quantum science, and shadow work. It focuses on cultivating a catalytic, transformative presence. Participants experience paradigm shifts, energy and awareness practices, intuitive access, and embodied coherence. Dialogue, as envisioned by Bohm, is practiced as a collective gateway to breakthrough insight. The essence of Adi Da’s radiant transmission and Rogers’ empathic presence inform this work.

Deep Process

This three-day workshop focuses on shadow and trauma—the gateways to integral development. Participants learn to guide deep process work that heals and integrates disowned aspects of self. Drawing from Jungian psychology, participants face shadow elements, practice inquiry, and cultivate a radiant, compassionate presence. This is about coaching and consulting from an integral-unitive presence, resonant with Rogers’ unconditional positive regard and the masters’ embrace of shadow in light.

Application and Manifestation

This five-day capstone applies everything learned to systemic transformation. Participants deepen energetic practices, integrate STAGES and Typology with the five body types, advance shadow and dialogue skills, and learn to catalyze organizational coherence. The focus is manifestation—moving beyond being informed by the field to actively shaping it. Echoing Bohm’s insights, Maslow’s vision of self-transcendence, and the mystics’ call to co-create with life, this module brings the Academy to its culmination.

Meta-Capabilities

The Academy holds a comprehensive curriculum designed to cultivate meta-capabilities—those capacities that emerge at later stages of human development, when individuals access deeper dimensions of the unified field of intelligence. These capacities live in all of us, but in most they remain undeveloped.

Key meta-capabilities include:

  • Intuition – Direct access to the subtle informational energies of the quantum field, guiding purpose, creativity, and emergent futures.
  • Higher Purpose – Moving from self-authored purpose (Creative level) to being authored by the emergent future itself (Integral level).
  • Energetic Mastery – Opening into expanded states of awareness that allow greater flows of energy and information through the body, connecting us to the field of infinite intelligence.
    • Energy and Awareness Practices – Expanding pathways of energy and attention.
    • Embodiment Practices – Grounding higher states in the body and showing up with stillness and presence.
  • Shadow Healing – Facing and transforming individual, intergenerational, and collective shadows that restrict energy and distort futures.
  • Non-Violence – “First, do no harm.” Making no enemies. Holding conflict from the understanding that my view is partial, and the other is also myself. Beyond resolution, beyond win-win, toward reconciliation.
  • Dialogue – Listening to and speaking from the unified field of intelligence to access breakthrough wisdom on vision, purpose, and strategy.
  • Manifestation – Harnessing intention in expanded states to shape and call forth the emergent future.
  • System Transformation – Discovering leverage points—simple, elegant changes with wide systemic impact—that redesign systems and cultures fit for purpose.
  • Inherent Unity – Recognizing that everything arises from and as one Reality. While not a path of direct realization, the Academy aligns with contemplative and indigenous traditions that point toward unitive awareness.
  • Presence – Radiating transformative presence: undefended, safe, radically human, compassionate, and loving. A presence that catalyzes coherence, possibility, and transformation.

Participant Endorsements

In 2023, Bob Anderson hosted, with the faculty, a series of pilot workshops that, taken together, evolved the Unity Academy. Each workshop focused on an aspect of the academy. After each workshop, there was a request to take the work further. The academy is a response to those requests. What an unforgettable experience! I’m not sure if workshop is the right term for it. For me the experience evades categorization and that is part of what made it so great. I am hungry for more!

I loved how learning about the leading edge of quantum physics became palpable as we directly connected into it and felt the subtle energies in our bodies. By experiencing and practicing the work, we became more aware and sensitive to what is going on for our clients.

I love so much about this workshop.  First, bringing science and spirituality together and showing us how it’s all the same reality! This workshop was different from anything I’ve ever done before in the leadership development arena, and I’ve done a ton. Words fail me. When I saw this workshop announcement, I thought, “Oh here is a way I can learn how to integrate my coaching and healing practice and learn how best I can serve by clients”. Little did I know what was in store for me personally. While I did learn what I thought I would, what I wasn’t ready for was the birth of my whole Self, my full Self, my integrated Self!  This was the most sacred experience of my life thus far.

If you want to get in contact with your truest and most authentic self, this workshop is for you. But know that in the process you will have to face your core wounds, allow energetic healing to transform you, experience the process of transcendence, and feel what transformational love is. This is deep work!

A truly transformational experience. To be honest, very powerful, intense, deeply and truly awakening. Prior to this workshop, I wasn’t aware of many of my emotions and that collective trauma lives in me. It facilitated a deep understanding of personal, generational, and collective trauma and demonstrated how touching this field can help us unify ourselves towards a higher purpose. Some of the experiences I had, for lack of better words, I can only describe as spiritual: the transcendent experience of unity and the void—simultaneously experiencing my being and my body as the complete emptiness of the void and the fullness of Unity.  Other experiences opened the capacity for feeling a depth of emotion that I have yearned for.  Experiencing the depths of despair and grief has put me in touch with a connection to life and aliveness (words are inadequate) that is rich, full, and affirming.  I am on fire with the integration.

The depth and breadth of its impact on my daily experience continues to grow.  Interactions with friends, family, and clients have all had moments where the space that opened and the depth of the interaction was new and surprising. For example, I met with an executive client on Tuesday. After designing with him a new way for us to be with each other while coaching, I settled in and coached primarily from an embodied state and spent little to no time in the client’s narrative. What a shift! The outcome was different, and we agreed to keep coaching in that way.

Elegant. The way in which this workshop synthesized so much wisdom and integrated it to make it all accessible was an incredible gift. The blending of science and spirit, head and heart, body and soul gave words to pieces of me I could feel yet couldn’t name or readily access. There were quite a few moments of the light of simplicity on the other side of the complexity.

Cancellation Policy

Because Unity Academy is a cohort process, because Leadership Circle is committed to supporting the cohort, and because of the world-class faculty expenses associated with the academy, we will only move forward with the academy if a cohort is filled and fully funded.

Your registration remains 100% refundable until the cohort is filled and confirmed. If the cohort does not move forward, your registration will be refunded. You may elect to have your refund held as credit toward future Unity Academy offerings.

If the cohort proceeds, but you elect to cancel your registration, you will not receive a refund.

Leadership Circle does not apply transfer fees, refunds, or credits toward any program other than Unity Academy programs listed by Leadership Circle for the U.S. or Europe on its website.

Workshop Notes

  • These workshops will be supported with pre-workshop and post-workshop virtual sessions. Some virtual sessions will include guest appearances from other thought leaders.
  • Participants will be required to sign a legally binding document acknowledging that they know about and are willing to engage the personal depth of the work.
  • Workshops will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day, except the last day, which will run until 4 p.m. We do not want participants leaving early on the last day. We understand that this may necessitate an extra night’s stay. Please plan accordingly.
  • All workshops will accrue CEUs. Those who successfully complete the Unity Academy will receive a Master Certification Certificate from Leadership Circle.
  • LCP Certification is recommended but not required for participation in the Unity Academy.
