Our Chief Revenue Officer, Jud Kennedy, recognized a chance for us to continue that momentum of internal company learning and reading, this time as a book club to keep the process fun.

This article shares my reflections from reading “Uptime” as part of that company book club.  

I felt inspired by Martin’s words, and the subsequent changes to my personal work have opened up my time to ideate, dream, strategize, and explore not only what my role entails today, but also what it could be in the future. The tactics that Martin shares have given me the priceless gift of time. For a person who has often been caught up in a furious hurricane of “staying busy,” the concept of getting more intentional and mindful in how I work has been truly transformative. I’ll walk through how Laura Mae Martin’s words opened my eyes to the reality that balancing productivity and wellbeing are more crucial than ever, especially for leaders, entrepreneurs, and corporate professionals. 

The Importance of Personal Productivity for Leaders 

Leaders must juggle numerous responsibilities, making productivity indispensable. “Uptime” underscores this necessity, highlighting that personal productivity is not just about getting more done; it is about achieving meaningful results.
