Using Narrative Identity Frameworks in Coaching

In Person with Steve Athey, Lauren Tenney, and Rob Sinclair

North America Workshop

Step into a transformative journey with our upcoming in-person workshop, Using Narrative Identity Frameworks in Coaching, guided by esteemed facilitators Steve Athey, Rob Sinclair, and Lauren Tenney.

In this three-day workshop you will explore narrative identity and its profound impact on leadership practice and coaching, and in your own life and practice. As a participant, you’ll experience first-hand immersion in developmental experiences involving narrative practice, experience nature-based application of the narrative approach, and receive practical guidance on the integration of a narrative identity approach with the LCP.

This workshop is an invitation to enhance your coaching proficiency by working more explicitly and deliberately with how individual stories shape a leader’s approach and effectiveness. You will learn how coaching with a narrative identity approach can quickly, deeply, and genuinely reshape leadership constraints and reveal the narratives that have influenced them, opening up new horizons of insight and creative authorship.

This immersive workshop promises not just knowledge but a profound shift in perspective, including insights about your own identity and narrative landscape, while equipping you with the tools to guide others through their own narrative exploration.

Join us for a meaningful, beautiful and heartfelt three days of practitioner deep-dive and applied learning together. We look forward to meeting you!

"I had an amazing experience at the Narrative Identity in Coaching workshop. I was eager to put it into practice, and I’ve used it as a few dozen times so far. One coachee wrote afterward: “I learned more about myself in those 90 minutes than I have in the past 10 years.” Another coachee had us both in tears by the end of the conversation. I spoke yesterday with her boss, who said she’d written to thank him for making the investment in coaching because that particular session was so meaningful to her. So thank you—this is magic! And I’m having so much fun with the process."

It was a wonderfully and well designed workshop Rixt Kuiper and Steve Athey! Really like the framework of Narrative Identity combined with the hidden power of Embodiment. It takes the Leadership Circle to the next level. Looking forward to apply it with clients!

What makes a training really stand out? In this case, it was the combination of two highly experienced facilitators, Rixt and Steve. Both are true experts in the field, sharing not just the theory but also their own experiences and best practices.
Equally important were the other participants in the room. The learning deepened when everyone brought their knowledge, asked thoughtful questions, and shared their insights.
This mix made the session a really fantastic experience.

We all have a story about who we are – and who we’re not. Most of the time, we don’t even realize that this story often guides our actions and choices. The way we interpret the people, events, and experiences that shaped us in the past can deeply influence how we live and lead today. This workshop has helped me take a fresh look at my personal story – the main characters, the supporting roles, and how they’ve all contributed to who I am now – and to see the limitations of my “dominant story”. The key takeaway is the empowering realization that we are so much more than the single story we often tell ourselves!

As a coach to many leaders, I can also say that this workshop introduces simple yet powerful tools to help clients dive deeper into their narratives, especially following their LCP assessment.

Thank you, Rixt and Steve, for the masterful facilitation which combined wisdom, simplicity and deep insights.

The Narrative Identity workshop provided me with profound self-awareness about how my narrative shapes my identity, mindset, and behavior. Moreover, it equipped me with a methodology and tools to develop the capacity to self-author my identity, enabling me to become a more effective leader and live a more fulfilling life. These two days were a significant boost to self-authorship under the inspiring guidance of Steve and Rixt, two world-class facilitators.

Participating in the Narrative Identity Workshop organized by Rixt and Steve was definitely a major step in my personal and professional development.
Understanding the many characters that are part of our personalities, are part of our narrative and identity and the impact of these on how we deal with situations was truly enlightening for me. This is already starting to change the way I analyze a scenario and how I react, Both personally and professionally.
