LCP Pre-Certification Assessment

Welcome to the information site for your pre-certification assessment! The Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) is a 360-degree assessment tool designed to measure your current leadership skills and offer suggestions for developing your leadership potential. Prior to attending your Leadership Circle Profile Certification session, you will complete your own LCP and then have a 90-minute debrief with a coach, and start part one of your learning journey.

The Assessment Process

STEP 1: Identify Your Evaluators & Ask Them to Provide Feedback

It is recommended that you identify 10-20 evaluators. Criteria for your evaluators are those people who:

  • Know you well and will provide you with honest feedback.

  • Have good intentions and sincerely want to help you learn more about yourself.

  • Understand your job responsibilities and areas of influence.

  • Can describe you in relation to the many roles you play.

Evaluator Categories: 

Boss’s Boss: Optional. May enter one or more. Only one completed survey is needed to view breakout data on the report.

Boss: This is the person who gives you your performance appraisal. May enter more than one. Only one completed survey is needed to view breakout data on the report.

Peer: These are people who know your work as a leader, but don’t report to you or have input into your evaluation. Three or more completed surveys are needed to view breakout data on the report.

Direct Report: These are people with whom you have input into their performance evaluations. Three or more completed surveys are needed to view breakout data on the report.

Other: These may be vendors, customers, partners, or people with whom you’ve worked with on volunteer projects. Three or more completed surveys are needed to view breakout data on the report.

IMPORTANT PRE-SURVEY STEP: Be sure to contact the individuals you are requesting feedback from ahead of time by email or phone prior to setting them up in the system. A sample email for you to customise and send to your evaluators is at the bottom of this page. If you choose not to send a pre-survey email, it is important you inform your evaluators they will be receiving an email containing the survey link from notifications@theleadershipcircle.com.

STEP 2: Receive Your Login Information & Enter Your Evaluators

Shortly, you’ll receive an email asking you to log in and create a password to access the survey. The email arrives from notifications@theleadershipcircle.com. If the email doesn’t appear in your inbox, please check your SPAM/JUNK folder.

  • Click on the link within the email to access the survey login page.

  • Click “Forgot/Create Password” to create a password.

  • Log into the survey using your new password and email address.

  • Once you have determined your evaluators for each category, it is best to send them an email asking them to contribute to your leadership development process. There is a sample email for you to customise and send to your evaluators at the bottom of this page. After sending the email, you will then set up your evaluators in the system. To do so, log in to our Project Center (using your link) and click “Evaluator Setup” and follow the prompts to add your evaluators and their email addresses. Please note: when setting up your Evaluators in the system, be sure to double check your email entries to ensure that the email address has been inputted accurately. The system will then send each of your evaluators a login email so they can complete your feedback.

STEP 3: Complete the Self Assessment

After entering evaluators, your self-survey button becomes active. Click on the button and follow the directions for taking your self-survey. The answers save after each question, so you can log in and out of the survey, without losing data.

Completing your Self Assessment will take approximately 20 minutes. This data will be used to evaluate your perception of self and compare it to the perception held by your evaluators.

STEP 4: Before your Session Learning Journey

*You will be set up in the learning platform shortly after your Leadership Circle Profile assessment is launched. You will receive an email notification with further instructions.

Prior to  your certification session, please log into the learning platform and complete part one of your course.  The platform will allow you to deepen your understanding of Certification material and accelerate your development. Please note that Project Center and the Learning platform are a single sign-on system, so your username and password are the same for both systems.

The pre- and post-Certification work is a series of two short, interactive modules, designed to set the stage for a deeper dive into your results and be a catalyst for your ongoing development.

STEP 5: Receive Your Report

You will receive your LCP results following the completion prior to your debrief. Once your profile has been processed, you will be able to download your results by logging into the Project Center platform.

STEP 6: Debrief Session with Your Coach

An Executive Leadership Coach will be your partner in discovery for your LCP results. Together you will explore new awareness and meaning for what matters to you most as a person, leader, and team member. You will also receive a detailed personal profile with guidelines to interpret the results.

The debrief session is a required step prior to attending the certification session. If you are unable to complete your debrief prior to certification session, your registration will be rescheduled to a different session. Your debrief coach will contact you directly to organise this session (to take place in the 2 weeks leading up to certification)

STEP 7: Prepare for Your Session

Before you attend your session please:

  • Ensure you have a clear understanding of the training’s objectives and topics to be covered.
  • Review any materials or resources provided prior to the session.
  • Bring along a notepad and pen to take notes, as jotting down key points can aid in retention. There will also be a place to add notes in your digital materials if you prefer.
  • Dress comfortably yet professionally, considering the training’s context.
  • Be open to actively participate, ask questions, and engage with fellow learners during discussions and activities.
  • Maintain a positive and receptive mindset, as this will contribute to a productive and enjoyable learning environment.
  • Embrace the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills while making the most of this valuable training session.
  • Plan on being fully present for our session. We ask that you turn off email, phones, and other distractions, just like you would if we were meeting in person. We will all be able to connect more fully if we respect each other and be fully present during our time together.
  • Remember, to be fully certified, you must attend all of the certification session, and cannot come in and out of the session, or you will risk being transferred to another session.

Virtual Certification Session

For those attending the LCP Certification virtually, it is critical that you have all the necessary technology checked off prior to the session.

Below is a quick guide walking you through all the technology components you’ll need to have prepared for your certification session. Please review this and practice these components.

Please review the following list of technology checks and virtual call reminders ahead of certification:

  • Please have a copy of your digital materials, including your Leadership Circle Profile report downloaded and available on your desktop. Here is the link to access.
  • Before the call, please make sure your computer’s video camera and microphone work. We will ask everyone to be on video during the call so we can connect face to face. A headset may be a good way to help your sound quality, both for you and for the meeting
    • Pro Tip:  Having two monitors can assist you during the session, one to participate in the Zoom call and one to display your certification materials.  *Not required but highly recommended.
  • Please make sure to join the certification from a location with a good internet connection or strong Wi-Fi.
  • To reduce distractions and ensure that everyone can be heard, please mute yourself when not talking. Be sure to remember to un-mute yourself when you would like to talk.
    • Pro-Tip: Hold down the space bar for a brief un-muting interval during a session.
  • The chat function is a great way to interact with other certification attendees and whoever is supporting the call from a technology perspective. Please don’t hesitate to use it.

STEP 8: Attend Certification

To prepare to attend the certification session, please have a copy of your digital materials, including your Leadership Circle Profile report downloaded and available on your desktop. Here is the link to access. This will also be emailed to you shortly before the session.

STEP 9: Post-Certification Session Learning Journey

After your Certification, log back into the Leadership Circle learning management system to complete Part 2 of the learning journey, entitled, “Becoming a Practitioner.” You must complete all learning journey work to be certified. Once you complete these modules, you will have the option to download a copy of your digital certificate of completion.

You have access to outstanding post-certification support material, tools, and development on the platform as part of your Certification fee. This will increase your confidence and deepen your learning of the model and framework by putting everything into practice. The platform is not only built for our library of materials and specific post-certification support in the Leadership Circle Profile, it is also built for community insight and learning tools that are a part of the vertical development platform itself. The entire experience is designed to deepen your development and accelerate your practice and business.
