What community means to me

I didn’t grow up thinking about community. I grew up living it. Where I was born, the sense of belonging and leaning on one another are a fundamental part of identity and are rooted in survival.

Over time, Leadership Circle allowed me to begin a transformational journey that involved understanding I could embrace the gift of the Belonging dimension to incorporate the knowledge of my systems and my culture, translating it into Systemic Awareness and Community Concern.

That journey toward the Creative dimension began with something seemingly simple: after participating in the first Leadership Circle Profile certification in Latin America, we spontaneously organized a study group with the members of that cohort. Our desire to go deeper into the Universal Model of Leadership brought us together, and it gradually became a journey that continues to surprise me to this day, bringing countless joys and challenges into my life.

In a community as global and diverse as ours, what unites us is shared purpose. And growth built on trust is how we preserve the integrity of our wonderful ecosystem.

When, as practitioners, we refer someone, we are saying: I trust this community enough to bring someone I care about into it. That is service, and through it we elevate leadership consciousness.

To those who have already contributed to expanding our community: thank you! This space is ours — to reflect, to remind ourselves why we are here, and to celebrate that there is room for all of us to keep growing together.
